Hello, and welcome to my website. I am a mixed media artist, and in addition to acrylic, pastel, watercolour and ink mediums, I enjoy adding a variety of other materials and textures into my paintings. I paint from my home studio on the tidal waters of the Comox harbour on Vancouver Island where I am inspired by the herons, eagles, shore birds and everchanging scenery from vast beach to high waters, calm to stormy, and from moonrise to sunrise.

Art has always been a part of my life.  Raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, my love of art continued through my school years. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and a Master of Business Administration, the career path that followed took me on many overseas adventures in the form of professional, volunteer, and cycling experiences in Europe, Asia, Central America, the U.S. and Canada. Throughout my career, I was fortunate to have had many opportunities to offer my artistic hand producing art in fundraising, volunteering, work projects and commissions.

I moved to Vancouver Island in 1997, and have made the Comox Valley my permanent home. I enjoy exploring the many beautiful areas of Vancouver Island, especially Vancouver Island's West Coast where I enjoyed many summers and trips year round.

I have a carefree, expressive style of painting, and I am drawn to the use of bright and contrasting colours,  reflecting the spontaneous and in the moment way I like to paint.  I like to bring fun and joy into every piece of art, from landscapes to cartoons and everything in between.

I also enjoy creating art with children, and my own three children are the source of inspiration for my "Outnumbered!" cartoon series.

When I am not painting, I enjoy kayaking, swimming, cycling, outdoor pursuits, aerial arts, yoga, soccer, music, gardening, and time with friends, family and pets.
