Outnumbered! Cartoons

The source of inspiration for my Outnumbered! cartoons comes from my three children and our many young friends and their families. In 2001, I began keeping a journal for ourselves, which the children and I called "The Book of Funny Things". We would draw, colour, and write and illustrate fascinating stories and of course, create cartoons to record the funny side of our lives. The children and I still look at our Book of Funny Things series (we have several now) and always get a laugh. The idea to create a cartoon series came in 2008. The name "Outnumbered!" came to me in the middle of the night, and of course refers to me being outnumbered by my three busy children. No matter how many children you may have, you can often feel as though you are outnumbered! The endless fountain of ideas and inspiration continues.
